Hiking with Hazel

My name is Hazel and it's my turn to post my adventures! My adventure involves me and my best friend, Temperance.

Tempe and I have known each other since the 3rd grade. We each have a big family with lots of older siblings. She has two older brothers and two older sisters. Besides her (she's 11), the youngest is eighteen. Tempe was adopted as a baby. Her dad is a psychiatrist and her mom owns a chain of craft stores. As for my family, I'm the youngest of seven. The closest in age is my brother, Zane, he's 15.

Tempe and I bonded over the fact that we feel left out in our families. We don't have a special sibling close to our age. In Tempe's case, everyone was grown before she was even adopted. Zane was nearly in Kindergarten by the time I came along and my oldest brother, Nash, was nearly done with highschool!

But you know what is awesome about having lots of older siblings? They take you to cool places! We wouldn't have gotten to go hiking without them. Tempe's oldest brother is already married and has a baby, but since his wife and baby were visiting her parent's, he took us along with my brother, Joss.

It was so nice to be up in the mountains! And to be away from chores! I live on a ranch. Although my brothers do most of the work (another perk of them), I have to take care of my own cow and all the chickens. Tempe is the lucky, spoiled baby in the family.
After we did some hiking, our brothers took us for ice cream in the tourist town off the mountain. They have the best ice cream! Another perk of big brothers: they have money.

Well, that's it for me. It's Reese's turn next and then Emily said we should post our school pictures. Easy for her to say, her picture turned out adorable! Until next time...

Hiking in the Mountains

It's Emily! Back in July, I took an exciting trip up to the top of the Beartooth Pass. It's high enough up to be above tree line! I went with my friend, Julian.

It was warm enough, because July, but it's always windy that high up. I believe there is already snow up there again. The Pass is closed more often than not.

This is Julian showing off his climbing skills. For a boy, he's not too bad. He started at my school last year, but I didn't get to know him until halfway through the school year. He likes wolves, too!
Everyone thinks we look like siblings. I guess I can kinda see the resemblance. He has green eyes and his hair is a little browner than mine. I'd rather people think he is my brother than my boyfriend! Yuck!

Well, that's all I got for right now. The next few posts will be about stuff we did over the summer before we catch up to current times.

Intro

It feels weird to be blogging again! Sorry if I'm a little rusty. In case you forgot who I am, I'm Emily! This is a new group blog for a bunch of girls that go to my school. With all the help, maybe we'll be able to keep it updated frequently!

The "About Us" page (link on the right) will help you keep us straight and give a little info about everyone who will be blogging.

I'd like to find some of my old friends, so if you ever read "Everything Emily" send me a message so I can make a list of my blogging friends.

I can't think of anything else to say right now, but I'll have an adventure of some sort to post tomorrow!
